Head Coach

A native of Hollister, California, Nick Adamek is entering his 8th season as Head Coach of the Steele County Blades. Nick is a Level IV USA Hockey certified coach.

Adamek started his coaching career with the University of Wisconsin-Stout, handling Head Coach and Assistant Coach responsibilities with the women's club program. Shortly after that, he started working with the Hudson Crusaders of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League, serving as an Assistant Coach from 2008-2011.

Adamek then joined the Gillette Wild of the American West Hockey League (AWHL) in 2011 as an Assistant Coach. He was there for three years, where he also spent time as Head Coach of the Gillette High School program. He led the team to a State Championship in 2012 and appearances in the State Tournament Championship all three seasons. Additionally, Adamek has coached with Minnesota Mavericks AAA Summer Hockey camps and teams with former Owatonna Express coach Pat Cullen.

Nick also owns 3 Brothers Hockey. Along with his two older brothers, Mike & Mark. They run camps and summer exposure teams together.

Nick resides in Owatonna with his wife Erin and son Luc.

Assistant Coach & Strength Coach

A native of Buffalo, Minnesota. He played four years of varsity high school hockey at Buffalo High School, being named captain his senior year while also earning the Hobey Baker Character and Leadership Award in 2014.

After high school, he played two seasons for the Steele County Blades in the USPHL. He was named an assistant captain his last season with the Blades. At the time he left the Blades, he was the all-time leader in points. After his time with the Blades, Anderle played hockey and studied at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, splitting his time between the NCAA Div. III team and the ACHA Div. II team.

He graduated from Gustavus with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology. He holds an ACSM Personal Training Certification and is American Red Cross CPR Certified. Since graduating, he has worked as a personal trainer and hockey skills coach along with coaching the Buffalo (MN) Peewee A team and is the association's Strength and Conditioning Coach. Anderle splits his time between Owatonna and Hanover.

Equipment Manager

McGinn is entering his fourth season with the Steele County Blades. With over 40 years in the game itself, Mike will be using his knowledge within the game to lend a hand with all of the Blades equipment needs. He has been an off-ice official in the NAHL and the USHL. Mike was an equipment manager with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL for two years.

Mike resides in Owatonna with his three daughters: Alyssa (15), Madison (13), and Grace (10). He is a Maintenance Technician with Ecumen here in Owatonna.
